Admiralty Planning Charts
Our extensive range of Admiralty planning charts are designed to work alongside official navigational charts, whether standard navigational charts (SNCs) or ENCs, to help improve situational awareness on the bridge.
ADMIRALTY Maritime Security Charts contain safety-critical information to assist bridge crews in the planning of safe passages through high risk areas. All information has been gathered by the UKHO through work with NATO and other government organisations, ensuring each chart has the most accurate, up-to-date and verified information available.
ADMIRALTY Port Approach Guides are single, port-scale charts that contain a wide range of planning information for some of the world's busiest approaches. Taken from existing ADMIRALTY charts and publications, this information can help to simplify a number of passage planning tasks and support Master Pilot Exchange (MPX).
ADMIRALTY Mariner's Routeing Guides provide essential routeing information to help bridge crews safely navigate through some of the world's busiest and most complex shipping routes.
ADMIRALTY Routeing Charts are essential for use in passage planning for ocean voyages, Routeing Charts include routes and distances between major ports, ocean currents, ice limits, load lines and wind roses. They also contain expected meteorological and oceanographic conditions for each month of the year.
ADMIRALTY Gnomic Charts are used in passage planning to plot great circle routes as straight lines and for devising composite rhumb line courses. Fifteen charts cover the world at scales of 1:13,500,000 and 1:26,500,000.
ADMIRALTY Co-Tidal Charts help bridge crews to predict offshore tidal conditions. Each chart marks points on a coastline where the high water time is the same, while arrowheads show the main direction of the tidal stream.
ADMIRALTY Mercator Plotting Sheets are used by navigators to plot positions, lines of position, perform dead reckoning and compute bearings from navigation aids. These sheets use the Mercator projection: the scale is 1:1,000,000 and the dimensions are 1000 x 627 mm. ADMIRALTY Ocean Plotting Sheets are designed to help mariners plot their journeys, these sheets are available for a range of latitudes and use Mercator with a compass rose or Stereographic Projection.
ADMIRALTY Magnetic Variation Charts provide detailed coverage of the variation of magnetic fields worldwide.
ADMIRALTY World Time Zone Chart supports planning across different time-zones by relating local arrival and departure times to the standard Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
ADMIRALTY Meteorological Charts and Diagrams, these charts form a series of 27 meteorological working charts.
